A CAT had his eye removed after he was shot with an air rifle.

The cat, who has been named George, is around 10-years-old and is thought to be a stray.

He was found in the G33 area of Glasgow.

He was reported to Cats Protection's Glasgow branch due to an eye injury but on closer inspection vets found an air rifle pellet.

As a result, his eye had to be removed.
