A former Rangers player has given Silverburn's newest eatery a firm thumbs up after stopping by for a visit this weekend.

Pro-sportsman Jermain Defoe posted photos of his trip to Juicy on his social media yesterday praising them for their healthy approach to food on the go.

He is pictured holding a green juice and looking pleased to be one of the first to sample Juicy's new offerings which include Scotland's first 'first bespoke açai bar'.

The ex- rangers striker also rolled up his sleeves to build his own salad bowl in a video posted by the food spot's account.

Defoe is known to be a big fan of the flagship Juicy store on Byres Road and is frequently spotted grabbing a health food fix.

The Silverburn Juicy kiosk is the local businesses second location which opened this week on Thursday, January 20.

Juicy founder Fallon Carberry said of the launch: “We are so excited to kick off 2022 with our much anticipated second site at Shop Silverburn.
