SOME sections of the M8 will close overnight for more than two weeks for essential maintenance works.
The works will affect the stretch between Junction 13 and Baird Street Overbridge westbound and will take place between Monday, January 31 and Thursday, February 17, from 8pm to 6am each night.

Local diversion routes will be in place, while access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained.
Amey, who will carry out the works for Transport Scotland, said the £728,718 scheme will benefit around 18,073 vehicles using the route every day by improving the condition of the carriageway.
