Gordon Ramsay is set to open a new television studio in Glasgow, creating jobs to work in TV.

The Scottish chef's new production hub will be where the second series of BBC One's Future Foodie Stars will be produced, Glasgow Live reports.

Johnstone-born Ramsay has studios in London and LA – but has said opening a studio in Glasgow is a "dream come true".

The new venue will be located on Bath Street.

The show is an Apprentice-style competition which sees food entrepreneurs battle it out to win a life-changing investment for their business.

The company is recruiting for local production executives, development executives and producers to work on Future Foodie Stars.

Chief Creative Officer Lisa Edwards said: “We’ve been keen for a while to set up a production hub in the nations and regions, outside of our Studio HQ in London.

"With our founder, Gordon Ramsay’s Scottish roots, and the hugely creative and talented work force in and around Glasgow, it feels like a natural progression as part of our ongoing growth strategy to look at growing our team in this vibrant city.”
