A MAN was rushed to hospital after he took unwell at the wheel of his car.
Emergency crews arrived on the scene on Main Street in Coatbridge shortly before 5pm today and closed off the road.
He was taken to hospital and officers are continuing to make enquiries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.45 pm on Monday, January 24, 2022, police were called to a report that a man had taken unwell at the wheel of his car on Main Street at its junction with Bank Street, Coatbridge.
"Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Monkland District General Hospital. The vehicle has been recovered and the road has re-opened.
"Enquiries into the incident are continuing."
