SCHOOLGIRL Heather Bryson has been given a Prime Minister’s Point of Light award by Number 10 Downing Street.

The initiative recognises outstanding individuals making a change in their community. Heather, nine, from Robroyston, held regular virtual lockdown exercise classes for more than 200 care homes and sold home-made crafts to raise money for charity.

She was recently named a Good Morning Britain One Million Minutes Young Champion and she triumphed at the Glasgow Community Champions Awards in December, run by the Glasgow Times with Glasgow City Council, Trades House Glasgow and Glasgow Housing Association.

Mum and dad Deborah and Gary said: “We are extremely proud of our little girl. The bottom line of everything she does is hopefully to achieve positivity.”
