A CRASH on a busy motorway near Glasgow has prompted an emergency response.
Police responded to the M73 northbound at junction 2A (Gartcosh) after the alarm was raised at around 8am today.
It is understood that the crash involved a single car.
Cops remain at the scene and confirmed enquiries into the crash are ongoing.

Traffic Scotland reported that traffic was being held on the carriageway.
The road has since reopened.

The #M73 has now fully reopened following an earlier RTC heading N/B after J2a Gartcosh.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8am on Saturday, January 29, police received reports of a single-car crash on the M73, northbound at junction 2a, Gartcosh.
"Officers remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing."
