A BUSY motorway in Lanarkshire is currently closed following a "serious" crash.
Emergency services are in attendance at the scene on the M74 near Lanark at junction 10 and junction 11.
Police confirmed the road is closed to traffic in both directions.
It is understood that the crash involved two vehicles.

Diversions are in place with northbound traffic coming off at junction 12 and southbound traffic coming off at junction 9.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area at this time.
