GLASGOW comedian Janey Godley has revealed that her tour will not be canceled, despite her not being able to perform.

The star is currently receiving chemotherapy for ovarian cancer and won't be able to take the stage.

She announced today that two days of her tour, Janey Godley's Soup Pot Tour, will go ahead with her comedian friends and will be hosted by her daughter, Ashley Storrie.

The proceeds of the show will also go to Beatson Charity.

In an emotional video she shared on Twitter, she said: "I won't be able to do the show in the 18th and the two shows on the 19th.

"But please don't go away, keep your attention there because we're still going to go ahead with the shows, if you guys still want to come and see it.

"The proceeds will go to Beatson Cancer Charity and we will still have the three shows and it will be all my great comedy friends in Glasgow who are going to give their services for free.

"So, you're going to see some of the top Scottish comics and of course, hosted by no less than Ashley, stepping in for me.

"I'm going to hope to be there on the night, just for a few minutes, of the chemotherapy and safety rules permit me."

She added that she hopes ticket holders will still attend and promised her fans she will recover and perform herself soon.

King's Theatre also confirmed on their Facebook site that the shows will go ahead with the changes.

They added that guests will be contacted shortly regarding the changes.

The shows are scheduled for 7.30pm on Friday, March 18 and 5pm and 8pm on Saturday, March 19.
