GLASGOW is due to be hit by snow between today and tomorrow, the Met Office is predicting.

With a yellow warning for snow in place between 4pm on Wednesday and 11am on Thursday, the weather service is forecasting showers will fall as snow to "quite low levels" this evening.

Although the warning is narrowly missing the city at the moment, Glasgow is listed in the areas affected by the bad weather.

The Met Office is also warning of icy roads and that railways could be affected, with disruption to travel as a result.
