A MAN is accused of acquiring money as the result of frauds against a number of pensioners.

David Bow allegedly committed the crimes from a property in Glasgow's Carmyle between May 2016 and November 2019.

The 55-year-old is claimed to have amassed a total of £169,300 of criminal property from frauds in England.

Prosecutors state Bow acquired, used and possessed criminal property which was £18,700 that was put into his business account.

It is stated that this was the proceeds of a fraud which took place against 68-year-old David Wheatley.

Bow allegedly committed a similar crime against 71-year-old Sheffield pensioner David Baram for the total of £20,000.

Bow is also said to have acquired £2,600 from a fraud in Bury from 73-year-old Alan Norton.

Stephen Bird, 78, is also claimed to have been the victim of a £100,000 fraud which landed in Bow's business account.

The final alleged victims were 88-year-old John Carrington for £47,000 and Andrew Portwood, 50, for £23,300.

Bow pleaded not guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to the six charges.

A further hearing was fixed for next month by sheriff Johanna Johnston QC.

Bow, of Uddingston, South Lanarkshire, had his bail continued meantime.
