GREENOCK actor Martin Compston has made it his 'Duty' to raise funds for Ardgowan Hospice by reuniting with his AC-12 colleagues for a spectacular one-off event in Inverclyde next month.

Martin, known for his role as DS Steve Arnott in BBC smash hit drama Line of Duty, is bringing much-loved co-stars Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar to Port Glasgow Town Hall for a 'one off' Q&A on March 19.

Joining the popular trio, who have been nicking 'bent coppers' together on screen for a decade, will be the mastermind behind the show, writer Jed Mercurio.

After being interviewed on stage by broadcaster and former Sun editor Gordon Smart, over 400 audience members will get a chance to ask the fantastic foursome burning questions about all things Line of Duty.

Ardgowan Hospice's head of corporate development, Linda Kelly, told the Greenock Telegraph: "We are delighted to announce we have been lucky enough to get Martin, Vicky, Adrian and Jed together for one night only.

"Line of Duty is such an amazing show with such a large fanbase.

"We are so excited to bring this one-of-a-kind event to Inverclyde and I have to extend my thanks to them all for doing this for the hospice."

Hospice patron Martin, who first shot to fame in the film Sweet Sixteen, is no stranger to bringing celebrity pals to Inverclyde.

He previously arranged for popular singer-songwriter Example to entertain crowds for a benefit gig in 2018 in Greenock Town Hall.

The popular actor also previously called in friend and Scottish comedian Frankie Boyle in 2015 for a stand-up show, raising over £18,000 for the hospice.

Ardgowan Hospice have been leaving clues on social media all week about the audience with AC-12, sending fans into a frenzy trying to piece together the puzzle.
