A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Cumbernauld.

Officers rushed to the Abronhill Shopping Centre in Cumbernauld yesterday afternoon after a disturbance broke out and a man was found seriously injured.

The 27-year-old was pronounced dead at a property in Larch Court, just a short length from the shopping centre.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a 27-year-old man who suffered a serious injury in a disturbance outside the Abronhill Shopping Centre on Pine Road in Cumbernauld around 4.40pm on Monday, 14 February.

“He was pronounced dead a short time later at a property on Larch Court.

“A 15-year-old male youth has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries remain ongoing.”

This comes after we reported that cops remained there today, with the street and the nearby Abronhill shopping centre cordoned off from the public.
