Gamers in Glasgow are being given the dream opportunity to put the city's new arcade bar to the test before anyone else.

The soon to open NQ64 have put out the call for enthusiastic 'Game Testers' to spend the day trying out all that the basement bar has to offer.

Lucky applicants will be the first ones through the door at Merchant City venue, ahead of its launch this spring.

Organisers of the draw say “This is your exclusive opportunity to be the first to step foot in the venue, meet and battle it out with your friends, and even go head to head with our gaming-daft guests.”

Testers will be given ‘free rein’ of the venue and will be invited to try out classic arcade games like Pacman and Dance Machine as well as console games such as Megadrive or PlayStation.

In return for feedback, you’ll even get a chance to sample a game-themed cocktail or craft beer to sip while you play.

NQ64’s founder, Matt Robson, said: “We’re busy getting Glasgow ready for a March opening. Working day and night, our team is on-site preparing neon graffiti, bespoke lighting, brand new cocktails and gaming rooms that come together for an amazing night out.

“If you fancy helping us test our games and booze out on March 14 and 15, then follow us on Instagram, and when you see the post go out about games testers just follow the instructions.”

NQ64 will open to the wider public on Friday, March 15 in the former home of Distrikt club on Bell Street.
