A POPULAR library is set to re-open after a £2.3 million refurbishment.

Woodside Library in Glasgow's West End will show off its new look on Monday, March 28.

Like all libraries across the city, it was forced to close in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. This is the first time Woodside will re-open to the public.

“All of the improvement works at Woodside Library were developed in consultation with the local community, and local primary school pupils, to ensure that the library remains a key community facility for years to come.”

Opened in 1905, the original Carnegie library has been able to maintain its original features, some of which have been given a fresh lick of paint.
