A MAN was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries yesterday.
The 41-year-old was found on Hathaway Lane in Maryhill at around 5.50pm.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by ambulance.
Police were still at the scene today. Uniformed and plain-clothed officers were seen in the area.
Evidence markers were seen on the road with pieces of plastic over them.
Residents are being allowed access to the street which is otherwise locked down from Maryhill Road to Shakespeare Street.
Detective Sergeant Nick Gribben, of Maryhill CID, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing into the incident and how this man came to be injured.
“I would urge anyone who may have assisted the man to come forward.
“If you may have seen or heard a disturbance within the flats or the surrounding area then please get in touch.
“Anyone with information should call police via 101, quoting incident 2766 of Sunday, March 20 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
