IT'S week two of the Glasgow Times helping you find the cheapest petrol and diesel prices in Glasgow.

Last week we started our handy guide as part of Beat The Squeeze.

And this week the supermarkets are still winning on price.

Using fuel comparison website PetrolPrices.com, Costco is still coming out at the cheapest place in the city for petrol.

The price at the Cobden Road branch has stuck at 156.7p per litre, same as last week and cheaper than the UK average of 163.6p per litre.

Next is Morrisons at Newlands for 157.7p.

Just as last week, Asda then takes the next slot with its pumps at Robroyston, Govan, Toryglen and Parkhead all offering petrol at 158.7p per litre.

Tesco at St Rollox then comes in at 158.9p.

BP on Pollokshaws Road was the cheapest non-supermarket bet but this week the price has shot up by 3p with unleaded now at 163.9p per litre.

Esso on Paisley Road West is 161.9p per litre, by comparison.

For diesel, Costco again cheapest with fuel rising slightly on last week from 169.7p per litre to 170.7p.

Asda branches are the next cheapest at 171.7p.

If you drive a lot or if you're heading out of the city anyway, it might worth filling up at petrol stations outwith Glasgow.

Morrisons in Hamilton has petrol at 155.7p per litre while Morrisons Stewartfield, in East Kilbride, has petrol at 155.9p per litre.

Sainsburys in nearby Kingsgate Retail Park also has petrol at 155.9p per litre, as does Morrisons Lindsayfield.
