UPDATE: Abigail has been found safe.
THE mum of a missing Glasgow schoolgirl has been left "worried sick" following her daughter's disappearance.
Abigail Redmond, 12, was last seen at St Andrew's High School in Carntyne on Monday morning.
The schoolgirl has never stayed out without her family's knowledge.
Her mum shared a photo of her daughter on Facebook yesterday, and wrote: "Has anyone seen my daughter Abigail Redmond? She has been missing from school since 11.30am.
"We are worried sick, she was wearing a school uniform - a white shirt, black skirt, tights, black and white converse and a black PVC bubble jacket. She has a black Nike school bag.
"If any of her friends have seen her or know where she is, please contact us!"
Today, the worried mum has shared an update.
She wrote: "Abigail is still missing. She is only 12 and has never stayed out late or overnight somewhere without my knowledge.
"Abigail if you see this post, please come home sweetheart. Two big hugs from me and dad, we love you so much.
"Again if anyone has any information about where our daughter is please share with us, we just want her home safe."
Police Scotland said officers are carrying out enquiries to help trace Abigail.
