HUNDREDS of entries have been received for this year's Times Tots competition which will be unveiled in this week's newspaper.

Each day starting Thursday, we will celebrate the city's cutest and most charismatic children who will be vying up the chance to be crowned our champion and win £1,000.

Our second prize winner will receive £350 and third place will be awarded £150.

Assistant editor Stacey Mullen said: "We know how proud Glaswegians are of their families and it was no surprise when we received hundreds of entries for this year's competition.

"We want to give each child their moment in the paper which is why we will run the pictures for Times Tots over eight days from Thursday to Saturday this week, and Monday to Friday next week.

"Next Friday, pick up your Glasgow Times to get a token so that you can vote for your Times Tot winner to get through to the next round."

Alongside the token, in next Friday's newspaper, we will provide you with full details on how the next round of the vote will work. We will then unveil our top 300, 100 and 20 before announcing our winner in the coming weeks.

If you have any questions about the competition please send them to news@glasgowtimes.co.uk with the subject line Times Tots and we will respond to you as soon as possible.
