Forest area taped off by police after reports of sexual assault
A SECTION of a street in Renfrew has been taped off following a report of a sexual assault.
Officers are investigating the incident, which was reported by a 23-year-old woman.
Police are currently at the scene on Meadowside Street.
Tape has been put up near a forest area whilst an officer stands guard.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are investigating a report of the sexual assault of a 23-year-old woman which occurred on Monday, May 2, 2022, near Clyde Street, Renfrew.
“Enquiries are at an early stage and are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.”
