CYCLING daredevil Danny MacAskill performed sensational stunts on Glasgow streets for his latest video, Do a Wheelie.

The mountain biking star, who is a hit on YouTube, shot parts of the film outside the People’s Palace and under the Kingston Bridge. He also visited other stunning locations around Scotland.

Glasgow Times:

Made by Glasgow-based Cut Media for adidas Five Ten, the film includes other riders and fans for the first time, chosen after Danny put a callout on his social media pages.

Big name athletes that feature in the film include top artistic rider and three times vice world champion Viola Brand and Danny’s personal childhood hero, extreme mountain biker and former trials world champion, Hans 'No Way' Rey.

Glasgow Times:

Using everyday 'street furniture', from train tracks to picnic benches, MacAskill's back wheel, gravity-defying stunts include scaling a series of moving street bollards and traversing across fallen trees, elevating the humble wheelie to “wow” status, he explains.

“No matter what bike you ride or where you’re from, the wheelie is the one trick everybody knows,” said Danny.

“It’s definitely the most relatable and iconic trick so it’s been awesome to get together again with the Cut Media crew to make a new film to celebrate it.

“We’ve brought together so many incredibly creative riders and in the end I think we’ve made something really fun that leaves you feeling good and maybe wanting to try a few wheelies yourself.”
