A YOUNG cow was spotted waiting patiently for a train at a Glasgow station.

The unusual passenger was captured on CCTV at the platform on Pollokshaws West, near Pollok Country Park.

Clare, a ScotRail employee who monitors the cameras, said the cow "came in, ate some plants, had a wee wander, licked his reflection in the shelter and made his way back to the field".

ScotRail shared two photos of the animal online last night, with the caption: "Just waiting on the next train to Cowdenbeef...

"The CCTV team providing the goods this evening! P.S is that not the cutest cow you've ever seen? ^Megan."

Network Rail attended the area and secured the fence to make sure the cow was safe.
