Benjamin Siegrist has checked in at Celtic - now it looks as though Alexandro Bernabei is set to follow suit after Lanus and Celtic verbally agreed on a £3.75million deal.

Left-back Bernabei would become the first Argentinian to play for Celtic if he signs on the dotted line.

The 21-year-old is reputed to be on his way to Glasgow and he has been snapped on camera paying an emotional and fond farewell to his Lanus team-mates ahead of his move.

It looks like Ange Postecoglou's Hoops may well be bracing themselves for a flurry of transfer activity over the next few days.

Meanwhile, Siegrist has vowed to push “role model” Joe Hart all the way after signing a four-year deal with Celtic.

The 30-year-old Swiss shot-stopper completed his move to the Scottish Premiership champions as a free agent after leaving Dundee United this summer and he will provide stiff competition for former England international Hart.

With Alfa Semedo and Vinicius Souza also being strongly liked with Postecoglou's side it is an exciting time for the Celtic supporters.

Elsewhere, Liam Scales also clinched a season-long loan move to Aberdeen.
