The Red Hot Chilli Peppers will be heading to Glasgow in July as part of their 2022 World Tour.

The band will be heading to Bellahouston Park on July 1 following the tour kicking off in Seville, Spain before finishing in Hamburg, Germany.

Ahead of Glasgow’s concert next week, we’ve rounded up everything you need to know before making your way.

When is the Red Hot Chilli Peppers concert in Glasgow?

The concert takes place on Friday, July 1. According to Ticketmaster, gates open at 4:30pm.

Who is supporting the Red Hot Chilli Peppers in Glasgow?

According to Gigs in Scotland, the support acts for the Red Hot Chilli Peppers in Glasgow will be rapper Anderson Paak and The Free Nationals + Thundercat.

Is there an age limit for the Red Hot Chilli Peppers concert?

According to Ticketmaster, anyone under the age of 5 will not be permitted.

Persons aged between 5-15 must be accompanied by an adult 21 and over (1 adult minimum per 4 persons aged 14 and 15 years old).

If you're attending with someone aged 14 and 15 years old, Ticketmaster encourages you to complete a guardianship form.

What items are banned from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers concert?

Flares, gas or smoke devices, are not permitted, as well as Fireworks, sparklers, confetti cannons, Chinese / sky lanterns, firewood, candles or any flames, excessive amounts of cigarettes and/or vapes.

Professional camera equipment will not be permitted, this includes camera/video/audio equipment including removable lenses.

Only bring a bag if it is essential and be aware that those who bring bags will be separated into different lanes to be searched which may cause delays.

Bags larger than 30cm x 42cm (the size of a sheet of A3 paper) will not be permitted and there will be no storage lockers at the event.

How to get to Bellahouston Park

According to Gigs in Scotland, Bellahouston Park can be accessed via the following methods:

Buses

Bus numbers 9, 9A, 10, (First) and 38 (McGills) all drop off/pick up from Paisley Road West to the north of Bellahouston Park. The journey to the City Centre is 22mins and the last bus is scheduled for 00.25 at the time of writing. Please check the bus company websites for timetables closer to the event.

Shuttle Service

The Happy Bus Company will provide a Shuttle Service from Buchanan Street Bus Station to Bellahouston Park. You much purchase these tickets in advance via the website here.

Taxis/Pick Up/Drop Off

You can drop off and pick up in and around the area of Bellahouston Leisure Centre.

Subway

Bellahouston Park can be reached by Ibrox Underground Station which is an 8-minute walk to/from the venue. Currently, the last train will run at 23.16.

Private Cars

Rangers Football Club will operate secure parking at the Albion Car Park adjacent to Ibrox Stadium. This will cost £10 and be cash only.

Train

You should expect cancellations and extremely limited rail services across Scotland at the moment. Do plan ahead and don’t rely on trains to get you to and from Glasgow, check the ScotRail website for the latest information, and look at alternative travel options.

You must also be aware that you will need to leave the event early to catch the last available train.
