A CHILD was taken to hospital after being hit by a car at the weekend.
Police and ambulance crews were sent to Glebe Street, in Renfrew town centre, shortly before 6pm on Saturday.
The child, whose age is not known, was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children for treatment following the accident.
Part of the road was closed for a short while.

It is believed the driver of the vehicle was not arrested or charged.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.50pm on Saturday, June 25, police were called to a report of a collision involving a car and a child pedestrian on the A8, Glebe Street, Renfrew.
“Emergency services attended and the child was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow for treatment.”
