A schoolgirl with terminal cancer has tattooed her parents with her own artwork.
Faye Taylor is battling an aggressive diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma brain tumour which has left her with vision problems and suffering mini-seizures.
Tragically the nine-year-old, from Wishaw, will never be able to beat her incurable cancer but is determined to stay positive and create happy memories with her family.
This included giving her mum, Elaine, and dad, Gavin, a tattoo at 371 Tattoo Studio in Wishaw this month, with a design she created herself.
The pink and blue masterpiece on their arms was achieved with the help of professional artists in an emotional tribute to their daughter.
Elaine told the Glasgow Times: “Faye had a memorable experience at 371 Tattoo Studio in Wishaw where she saw her artwork get tattooed onto her dad and I. She even got to do it herself.
“Thank you Sergio and Kim for making this a memorable experience not only for Faye but for us as parents.
“We as a family are still trying to process Faye's cancer diagnosis and want to thank everyone who has been in touch offering help and support and to everyone who has donated to her GoFundMe page.
“We have made some great memories and will now be able to make a lot more with the GoFundMe for which we are truly overwhelmed at the amount raised and wish to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts.
“Faye's story has touched a lot of people.”
The brave youngster became unwell in May as she began to suffer a sore head and pains in her left leg, arm and hand.
Her family believed she may have been suffering a stroke and she was sent for an MRI which tragically relieved her brain tumour.
Doctors then told them little Faye has only between six months to one year left to live.
Now she is undergoing radiotherapy to help prolong her life and limit her symptoms.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family through this difficult time.
It reads: “We are totally overwhelmed and can’t thank you all enough and are so touched that Faye's story has touched so many many people.
“I just wish the end result would be different but there is only one way this will go.
“I pray when the time comes that Faye is spared any pain or discomfort as it’s heartbreaking knowing your child is fighting a losing battle.”

“Faye was an exceptional learner assisting the 371 Tattoo Studio staff with her mum's first tattoo.
“Hearing Faye's story and her terminal illness, frade four DIPG highly aggressive brain tumour, made us want to create lasting memories for the family and capture this moment in time.
“This was a unique situation for the studio and we are glad that our paths crossed to be able to make this happen.
“The strength of character Faye has is something special and we will treasure our experience with her.
