Boris Johnson visited Glasgow several times during his short tenure as Prime Minister.
From General Election and leadership campaigning to visits during the pandemic, he darted in and darted out, in most cases without meeting the public.
During the Covid pandemic he visited vaccination centres and labs developing vaccines and carrying out tests.
He was at the SEC and Kelvingrove Art Gallery during the COP26 summit, hosted by the UK Government in the city.

He said in his speech in the city to world leaders: “It’s one minute to midnight on that Doomsday Clock and we need to act now.”
On arrival in the city he was escorted through Central Station by police as he was met by crowds booing and jeering.
Visiting a lab at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and a Covid vaccination centre in Castlemilk during the first days of the vaccine rollout, he said: “It is fantastic to see real Scottish academic expertise coming to bear.
"I went to see the army setting up a vaccination centre in the Glasgow area.

“It has been done very fast and there is terrific progress.”
On a visit to Govan during the Conservative leadership campaign in 2019 he was asked about tackling drug deaths in the city.
He met apprentices and workers at BAE Systems' Govan shipyard.
He said: “My own view is the existing laws are in place. What we should be doing is helping the police crack down on the drugs gangs."

Even before he was Prime Minister some people in the city made their feelings known about the then foreign secretary.
Pictures of less than complimentary graffiti in the Partick area went viral on the internet.
