RANGERS striker Kemar Roofe was left behind as the first-team squad flew out to a pre-season training camp in Portugal earlier this week.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst and his coaching staff are putting the players through their paces ahead of the new campaign but Roofe has remained in Glasgow.
The Scottish Sun report that the striker picked up an injury at Auchenhowie days after the team reconvened for pre-season. The 29-year-old did not fly out to Portugal and is said to be a doubt for Rangers' Premiership curtain-raiser against Livingston on 30 July as a result.
The former Leeds United and Anderlecht centre-forward's time at Ibrox has been punctuated by a series of niggling injuries but despite that, Roofe has provided 34 goals in 72 appearances in all competitions since arriving in Govan two years ago.
