A murder bid suspect is accused of hitting a man on the head with a bike during an alleged street attack.
Michael Murphy is said to have assaulted David McLoughlin in Glasgow’s Old Shettleston Road, Shettleston, last September 11.
The attempted murder charge claims the 30-year-old struck Mr McLoughlin with the bike and struggled with him.
It is then alleged Murphy repeatedly stamped on his head rendering him unconscious.
Prosecutors claim this was to the man's severe injury, permanent disfigurement and impairment as well as to the danger of his life.
Murphy faces a separate charge of behaving in a threatening manner to another man at the same place and date.
Lawyers for Murphy pleaded not guilty on his behalf during a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow on Friday.
Lady Stacey set a trial due to begin next March.
