Sketches of how George Square could look after a redesign have been released with more green space, new seating and a cafe and events area.
Images show a large lawn area in the east side of the square between the Cenotaph and the Walter Scott monument in the centre.
The west side of the square shows space for a cafe area and a shared space that could be used for events in the middle of the square.

There are more trees around the square and a shared cycle and pedestrian lane on the north and south sides with traffic reduced to public transport only on the south, with the east and west sides closed to traffic completely.
A final consultation with the public has now started asking people what they think of the sketches.
The ideas are based on responses to a previous exercise where people were asked what they wanted from the city’s main civic space.
The redesign will include the streets surrounding the square, including Hanover Street and Miller Street, running down to Argyle Street, and North Hanover Street going north to Cathedral Street.
What people say they want will help produce the final plans with work expected to start in 2024.
A second phase will see changes to St Vincent Street, George Street, Dundas Street and Dundas Lane, to be completed in 2028.
There will be a pop-up display of the plans in George Square and an online engagement where people can comment on the plans.
The idea is not to radically change Geroge Square but to make it more attractive for people to spend time there and to make it more accessible for people.
Susan Aitken, leader of Glasgow City Council, said: "Glasgow deserves a civic heart that reflects the great, welcoming, vibrant city that it is - and I’m pleased people from all over the city have taken their opportunity to tell us what George Square means to them and what they would like to see it become.
“This final engagement will not only see their thoughts on our city’s most historic and loved public space take shape; but also give Glaswegians a final chance to influence the final design.”

The George Square scheme is part of the wider £115m Avenues project - a network of new, accessible and sustainable routes throughout the city centre.
