As the cost of living continues to rise, dining out with the kids has become quite expensive.

However, some businesses in Glasgow are offering special food deals for kids, so you can still treat your wee one on a day out - without breaking the bank.

Supermarkets, shops and restaurants in the city are going the extra mile to make things easier for families these summer holidays, with buy-one-get-one free bargains and even freebies.

We put together a list of where you treat your wee ones, without breaking the bank.

Morrisons

Morrisons Cafes in Glasgow have breakfast, lunch and dinner covered.

Adults purchasing a meal with a value of £4.99 or over can receive a free meal from the kids menu for their little one.

The kids meal, which includes chicken nuggets, chips and beans, fish fingers and chips, bangers and mash or mac and cheese, also comes with a piece of fruit and a drink.

The child must be under 16 to use the offer.

Asda

Asda Cafes have got, not one, but two promotions going for kids.

Children under 18 months get a free Ella's baby food pouche with any purchase.

Older kids eat can get a standard meal of nuggets with chips and beans, fish fingers with chips and peas, mac and cheese, pasta bolognese, pizza or an all-day breakfast for just £1.

Dunelm

Dunelm’s Pausa Coffee Shops are offering free meals for kids for every £4 spend.

The deal includes one free mini main, like beans on toast, pizza or sandwiches, with two snacks and a drink.

YO!

For kids with more exotic tastes, YO! also offers free meals, with every £10 spent on meals by an accompanying adult.

The deal is on from 3pm to 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday, until September 29.

Children must order meals from the children’s menu, which include dishes like japanese fried chicken, katsu curry, yakisoba noodles, and sushi rolls, and be under 10 years old.

A maximum of three children per table can eat for free.

The offer includes a meal and a drink, while a dessert can be added for £1.50.

IKEA

If a day of furniture shopping is what you have in mind, Ikea has good value for money meals for kids this summer.

From July 11 to September 3, children can get a meal from the children's menu from between 95p and £1.50.

The deal includes one hot meal, jelly and a soft drink, and a piece of fruit.

The IKEA restaurant is open between 9.30am and 8pm, from Monday to Friday, and from 9.30am and 7pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Bella Italia

At Bella Italia, kids can enjoy three courses, as well as a Cawston Pressed Fruit Water, for just £1.

Parents who purchase any adult main from 4pm to 6pm, from Monday to Thursday, are entitled to the offers.

Meals are suitable for ages 4-11.

Outside of these times, kids can still get cheaper deals at Bella Italia.

Three courses & a Cawston Pressed Fruit Water on the Piccolo Menu is £6.49 (perfect portions for 2 to 6-year-olds) and the Grande Menu is £8.49 and consists of larger portions for 7 to 11-year-olds.

Bella Italia is open everyday between 11am and 10pm, except for Sunday, when closing time is 9pm.

Dobbies

If you are in for some gardening and want to take the kids along, Dobbies has got their food covered.

Kids can eat for free at Dobbies with every adult main purchased.

This includes the kid's lunch menu or pick ‘n’ mix’ meal, plus a drink.

The offer is valid daily until 12pm.
