A popular West End cafe is celebrating a new spot in Dennistoun with an opening party this Saturday.
Mayze vegetarian cafe hopes to welcome loyal and new customers to enjoy free coffee and cake. Dog owners can also and take part in a ‘Poochie Pageant’ to kick off the new location.
From 9am to 5pm, visitors will be offered a free hot drink of their choice and a slice of ‘Moving In’ cake to toast to the independent cafe’s second venue, on Sword Street.

Those brave enough to take on Mayze’s baristas can try their hand at pouring their own latte art, or simply sit back and enjoy a pleasing demonstration by staff.
The party highlight will be a ‘Poochy Parade Competition’ with a special runway set up for customers to strut their dog.
Mayze staff will film each entrant to the doggy fashion show for Instagram followers to judge their favourite dog walk.
A prize of brunch in store for two humans will be offered to the winning pup.
Gillian McIntyre, owner of Mayze, said: “After four years running our first store Mayze in Finnieston, we're delighted to bring what we have to offer to the fabulous people in Dennistoun.
“Community has always played a big part in our business, whether it be supporting local creators with pop-up shops, hosting charity nights or contributing to the community litter-pick, and we're super excited to get involved with the infamous East End community.
“We are very accommodating to allergens and food intolerances, and we do our very best to make sure there is something for everyone, except meat I'm afraid.
“Our moving in party is a way to engage with the community directly and create connections and networking links to other local businesses. We can't wait to show you what we have to offer.”
Mayze is a fully vegetarian and vegan friendly cafe that serves both savoury brunch options and homemade vegan baked goodies that would appeal to even the staunchest of carnivores.
