Glasgow City Chambers has been taken over by production crews as filming for a new Apple TV show soldiers on through the heatwave.

Dozens of actresses decked out in Victorian bustles and crinolines queued up for catering on Virginia Street during a break from filming today.

Decked out in all shades of white and light pink, heads adorned with glamourous ostrich feathers, the cast could be seen sipping water and fanning off in the unusual Glasgow heat.

In a press release, Apple TV gives the logline: “Girls with money, men with power. New money, old secrets.

“A group of fun-loving young American girls explode into the tightly corseted London season of the 1870s, kicking off an Anglo-American culture clash as the land of the stiff upper lip is infiltrated by a refreshing disregard for centuries of tradition.”

Glasgow Times:

The costume drama is the latest in a lengthy list of big productions filmed in Glasgow and associated road closures are expected around the City Chambers through Wednesday.
