A beloved West-End vegan bar, eatery, and music venue is celebrating three birthdays over three nights with three unique parties.

The Hug and Pint on Great Western Road, known for its delicious Asian-style fare and cracking basement music nights, has been unable to host its sold-out fetes since 2019.

Open since 2015, the venue will host its fifth milestone, as well at its sixth and seventh birthdays over the next three Wednesday nights.

The festivities will feature the venue’s own unique vibe and line-up.

The first event, presented by renowned queer club night Shoot Your Shot, took place on Wednesday from 7.30pm.

The following party will feature a secret line-up presented by Detour.

Glasgow jazz musician Corto.Alto will perform with guests at the last birthday bash on Wednesday, August 3.

A spokesperson for The Hug and Pint said: "It means a lot to us to be back celebrating another year of The Hug and Pint.

“Having been unable to do so the past couple of years, during what have undoubtedly been some of the toughest times we have ever faced together, we are very grateful to be back doing what we love and can't wait to cram three years’ worth of birthday fun into three very special nights downstairs.

“Expect some very special guests and some of the biggest parties The Hug has ever hosted."

Detour Scotland, hosts of the second party, added: "The previous secret line-up parties we've done at The Hug have been some of our favourite nights ever. It's a testament to such a great venue that such amazing acts want to come play and celebrate the place.

“Some of the biggest acts in Scotland know how important grassroots venues like The Hug and Pint are to developing talent, so it's great that they can come and party with us.

“The line-up we have in store this year is as good as we've ever had, so we cannot wait."

Tickets for the events are available from The Hug and Pint’s website.
