A CELTIC player was arrested in the early hours of this morning.

It's believed Alexandro Bernabei, 21, was involved in an incident in Glasgow city centre.

A force spokesperson said: “A 21-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of this morning, Monday, August 15, in Glasgow city centre.

"Enquiries are ongoing.”

Bernabei, who was on the bench when Celtic won 5-0 against Kilmarnock on Sunday, posted a photo with a pal on Instagram last night.

It showed the pair sitting outside a restaurant on St Vincent Place.

Celtic Football Club has been approached for comment.
