A WOMAN who was remanded after appearing in court in Paisley has died in prison.
Elizabeth Holmes passed away on August 14, the Scottish Prison Service (SPS) has revealed.
The 27-year-old was on remand at HMP YOI Cornton Vale, a women's jail in Stirling.

Police Scotland are aware and the death has been reported to the procurator fiscal.
A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held.
A statement on the SPS website said: "Elizabeth Holmes, 27, a prisoner from HMP YOI Cornton Vale has died on 14 August 2022.
"She was remanded at Paisley Sheriff Court in 2022.
"Police Scotland have been advised and the matter reported to the procurator fiscal.
"A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course.
