TikTok is no longer just an app for sharing funny videos and participating in trends, for many it has been the go-to for skincare advice, fitness advice, you can even find accounts giving tips on how to get a mortgage!

For many, it is also the go-to place for restaurant and bar recommendations, with some promoting “hidden gems” and others sharing their top recommendations for certain city centres.

With Glasgow being named the third best UK city for foodies by MuscleFood just a few months ago, it is no surprise its many establishment's frequent TikTok videos.

With that in mind, we’ve put together a list of some of TikTok users’ favourite Glasgow restaurants, maybe there’s one you’ve not been to before?

Panang

Where is it: 71-73 St Vincent St, Glasgow G2 5TF

Panang on St Vincent Street is a Thai restaurant serving small plates. On Tripadvisor, reviews frequently praise the great food, making it no surprise that it is a regular feature on TikTok.

Bucks Bar

Where is it: 96 Trongate, Glasgow G1 5EP; 111 W Regent St, Glasgow G2 2RU; 1021 Cathcart Rd, Mount Florida, Glasgow G42 9XJ

Bucks Bar is a Glasgow staple, especially if you love a good chicken burger. And you can now grab one out of the city centre as they have opened a Southside branch on Cathcart Road in Mount Florida. With 525 “excellent” ratings on Tripadvisor, Bucks Bar is a must-visit.

Little Hoi An

Where is it: 26 Allison St, Glasgow G42 8NN

Little Hoi An features on “hidden gem” TikTok videos, with content creators urging people to try it. Self-described on Instagram as “wee cosy home style” cooking, the restaurant on Alison Street in Govanhill serves up MSG-free Vietnamese food.

Windows

Where is it: 44 W George St, Glasgow G2 1DH

Windows is another that appears on the “hidden gem” side of TikTok. Situated on the 7th floor of the Carlton George hotel, Windows is a gorgeous rooftop bar and restaurant that recently featured on a viral video on Glasgow hidden gems.

The restaurant has amassed 231 “excellent” ratings on Tripadvisor, with many customers raving about the views. Afternoon tea also appears to be popular with reviewers, as well as the delicious seasonal menu.

Rafa’s

Where is it: 1103 The Hidden Ln, Argyle St, Finnieston, Glasgow G3 8ND

It won’t be surprising to many that Rafa’s is a regular feature in Glasgow TikTok foodie reviews. Over in Finnieston, Rafa’s serves up incredible Mexican food from tacos to burritos and more.

They regularly share specials on the Instagram account that are bound to have you rushing over to make your own video.

Bibimbap

Where is it: 3 W Nile St, Glasgow G1 2PR; 2 Partick Bridge St, Partick, Glasgow G11 6PL

Bibimbap is another Glasgow establishment that has featured in trending TikTok videos. Named after the Korean comfort food, the two Glasgow locations bring “fresh, authentic and wholesome Korean classics” to the city.
