Last night, iconic rock band Coldplay performed the first of their two Glasgow gigs at Hampden Park.

Other than the tens of thousands attending the event, people across the city were able to hear the set.

Many took to Twitter to share their experiences as far as three miles away.

One person said: "Noises everywhere. We can even hear Coldplay at Hampden Stadium here in Glasgow. It's a free concert."

Another added: "I can hear Coldplay in my living room, three miles from Hampden.

"I thought my neighbours were playing music loudly. Uncanny how noise travels across Glasgow on a calm night."

A third said: "Amused to hear the sound of a lone piper attempting to do battle with Coldplay drifting across the Southside of Glasgow."

A fourth resident tweeted: "How loud is Coldplay tonight?"

The 'Yellow' singers will take to the stage tonight again, at the same venue.
