POLICE are investigating the unexplained death of a man in Greenock.

Forensics experts were seen on Friday combing pavements on South Street and working inside a block of flats near the Greenock Cemetery entrance.

It follows the death of a 57-year-old man, which was brought to the attention of police last Sunday afternoon, reports The Greenock Telegraph. 

Police Scotland say his death is currently being treated as unexplained and stated that enquiries are ‘ongoing’.
