DRAMATIC photos show a yacht engulfed in flames at the weekend.
One man who was on board the boat at Rhu, near Helensburgh, managed to escape the fire himself and did not need to attend hospital.
He got to safety following the incident on Saturday and called emergency services.
A multiagency response attended included Scottish Ambulance SORT, Scottish Fire and Rescue, Police Scotland, MOD Police and Helensburgh RNLI.
Greenock and Helensburgh coastguard rescue teams were carrying out water rescue training when they were also alerted to the blaze.
Pictures from the scene show the small yacht with flames and thick black smoke coming from it and firefighters extinguishing the fire.
Greenock Coastguard Rescue Team shared the photos on social media and wrote: "Our personnel from Greenock and Helensburgh were yesterday diverted from water rescue training in Inverkip to attend the report of a vessel on fire near Rhu.
"Our officers attended the scene in a multiagency response with personnel from Scottish Ambulance SORT, Scottish Fire & Rescue, Police Scotland, MOD Police and Helensburgh RNLI.
"Thankfully the only crew mate on board managed to self-recover to safety and raise the alarm, he did not require to attend hospital."
