TWO pet rabbits were found beside a pile of cabbage in a Glasgow park.
The Scottish SPCA suspects the animals were dumped and is appealing for information.
A member of the public found the male rabbits in Cathkin Braes Country Park, in the Southside, on the morning of October 8, and alerted the animal welfare charity.
Dawn Murrie, Scottish SPCA inspector, said: “The rabbits are in good body condition but unfortunately aren’t microchipped.
“One is tan coloured with white and grey markings, and the other is white with brown markings.
“We are unsure how the pet rabbits ended up in the park, but it is unusual to have found them beside a pile of cabbage.
“We appreciate that the person who left the rabbits may have intended for the animals to be found but this is not the right way to give up an animal if you can no longer care for them.
“Thankfully, they are unharmed and are now safe at one of our animal rescue and rehoming centres.
