TAKEAWAY fans in Glasgow could get a free £10 takeaway order by ‘ghosting the competition’ this Halloween.

Food ordering app FoodHub is giving customers the chance of a tasty treat this weekend by simply heading to ghostthecompetition.co.uk to claim a free £10 voucher to use on a takeaway or restaurant of their choice.

The company has conducted national research which reveals that takeaway food orders increase by 15 percent on October 31, compared to regular week days, and that the number one dish ordered at Halloween is pizza.

Emma Stockman, Foodhub spokesperson, said: “At Foodhub, we are receiving screenshots from our customers constantly, revealing that on occasions we are around £8 cheaper than our competitors when they order. Same food, the same restaurant, but a lot cheaper. Our non-commission model means not only is the takeaway cheaper for our customers, but selling via our platform works out as a fairer price for our takeaway and restaurant suppliers too.

“This year, we also launched our ‘Love Local’ campaign. Through the initiative we will be donating free meals for every order processed to local charities up and down the country.”

She added: “There will be no tricks this Halloween, only treats as we’re so excited to be offering customers the chance to sign up to Foodhub and pick up a free meal to celebrate the season of spook.”
