A group of charities are looking for daredevil Santas to plunge over a hundred feet as part of an exciting annual Christmas fundraiser.

Thrill-seekers are invited to volunteer for this year’s Santa bungee jump on December 10 to raise money for one of five charities.

Dressed in a provided Santa suit, volunteers will jump from a 160-foot platform at the Riverside Museum.

The Catherine McEwan Foundation, Erskine, Kilbryde Hospice, MND Scotland and Calum’s Cabin are the five causes volunteers can pick to support.

Derek McEwan, founder of the Catherine McEwan foundation, runs the annual Santa Bungee and invited other good causes to get involved this year.

He said: “We know times are tough for everyone and as a charity, we have always tried to collaborate.

“We felt our annual Santa bungee was a great chance to get together with some other charities we love, inviting lots of people to dress up, get into the spirit of it all and jump!

“This way, one event helps so many more people – and surely Christmas is about us all coming together”.

Around 100 Santas are needed, and each is asked to pay a £20 deposit and aim to raise £200 in sponsorship.
