A woman was seriously injured after being struck by a bus in Glasgow city centre on Thursday afternoon.
We reported yesterday that cops had locked down a section of Hope Street at Sauchiehall Street following the alleged incident.
A McGill's bus was seen parked without a driver as officers carried out an investigation.
In their latest update, police revealed that a 59-year-old woman was taken to the city's royal infirmary with serious injuries.
Meanwhile a 54-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a road traffic offence.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.30pm on Thursday, November 10, police were called to a report of a woman struck by a bus on Hope Street at the junction with Sauchiehall Street.
“A 59-year-old woman was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
"A 54-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a road traffic offence.”
