A GLASGOW comedian has revealed that the pond in Queen's Park has started to freeze over - as he "warns" others about what may happen next.

In previous years when the water has been frozen solid, dozens of skaters have flocked to the Southside park to practice or show off their skating skills.

Paul Black took to social media to rant about the skaters in a hilarious clip, which has gone viral.

Warning: Strong language

He sarcastically said: "Look, I don't wanty alarm anybody but if you live in the Southside of Glasgow or you frequent the Southside of Glasgow, wee update: Queen's Park pond is about 30% frozen over right now.

"And do you know what that means? Any minute, any day noo, middle-class families are going to start descending on this park and they're gonna start ice skating on the pond.

"And they have their ain ice skates, they've got their ain ice skates in their hoose, and they're bringing them.

"You might be thinking Paul, that's no the Glasgow I know and love, but let me tell you 2020 that pond froze over and I got a shock.

"It was like f*****g some sort of Charles Dickens novel, there was wains oan that pond wae their ain ice skates. I don't know what in the Joni Mitchell, Blades of Glory was going on, but it was f****d up.

"Also, can I just say, if you're from this country and you can ice skate, if you're good at ice skating, I don't trust ye. Where did you learn tae dae that in this country?

"How are you good at ice skating? Where the f**k were you born? East Kilbride Shopping Centre. It just doesny make sense that you would be good at that, like, who raised ye, I don't understand who your family was? The Braehead Clan?
