A thug headbutted two bouncers after being ejected from a nightclub.

Christopher Carrigan, 34, lashed out at Darren Anderson and Scott Robertson at The Garage in Glasgow city centre on November 5, 2021.

The city's sheriff court heard there were numerous complaints made about Carrigan that night.

He was asked to leave the premises, but refused stating: "No, you will physically have to drag me out."

Carrigan, of Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire, was then told to leave which he again refused to do.

Prosecutor Ramsay Cunningham said: "He thereafter struck Mr Anderson on the head with his head."

He then went on to carry out a similar attack on Mr Robertson.

Mr Cunningham added: "Carrigan remained aggressive and was restrained on the floor.

"At this time, he proceeded to kick Mr Anderson."

Police officers also arrived to restrain Carrigan before he was arrested.

It was stated that Mr Anderson suffered redness and bruising.

He pleaded guilty to assaulting Mr Anderson to his injury as well as a separate assault charge on Mr Robertson.

Martin Hughes, defending, told the court: "The stewards were right to throw him out and place hands on him then he reacted in the manner described.

"You have a man being told to exit but reacted badly."

Sheriff Valerie Mays ordered the dad-of-one to undertake 225 hours of unpaid work.

He was also placed under supervision for six months and told to pay £350 in compensation.
