A SECONDARY teacher injured their colleague by headbutting him at a North Lanarkshire school.
On November 29, 2019, the unnamed teacher was convicted at Airdrie Sheriff Court following the incident at Chryston High School on November 5, 2018.
He now faces being struck off the teaching register.

A fitness-to-teach hearing is due to be held by the General Teaching Council for Scotland over two days this month and two days in February.
The teacher was also convicted of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing, and uttering a threat of violence towards his colleague.
He went on to assault the man by butting him on the head and pushing him on the head with his head.
He was fined £400 by a sheriff.
The hearing will take place virtually on January 23 and 24 and February 27 and 28.
