Janey Godley has dubbed a hilarious voice over of Nicola Sturgeon’s resignation announcement.

The Glasgow comic shared the clip on Twitter with her 286k followers after the First Minister confirmed she would be stepping down this morning.

The footage had her share potential retirement plans including taking Zumba classes, breeding budgies, and living in a caravan.

The classic voiceover, which became popular during the pandemic, got thousands of likes as fans were left in stitches.

It said: “Well that’s me resigned, at least I never got sacked, haha Tories.

“People have been saying what are you going to do with your spare time now Nicola?

“Well I’ll tell you what I’m going to do, you know how you have seen cruising with Jane McDonald well I have decided to do Caravanning with Nicola Sturgeon. It’ll be brilliant. We’ll hit all the high spots, Largs, Arbroath.

“I love a caravan. It’s a two berth, sleeps nine.

“And I’m going to take up budgieing. I don’t like dugs so I’m going to start breeding budgies. Who knew that was a thing.

“See if that doesn't work out, I’m going to start a wee soup pot business and then going to start on the pippa dee, then me and all the Sandra’s all the Deborah’s and all Catherine’s are gonna start a Zumba group.

“At the end of the day, there’s lots for me to be getting on with.

“Now before I go everybody, I know you are all desperate to do it. I need you to all sign my leavers shirt.

“Everybody get your sharpies out.

“That’s brilliant. Frank, get the door!”
