Robbers broke into a Glasgow home and stole a Rolls Royce and Ferrari.

Police have launched an investigation after a house in Merrylee Road was targeted last night.

Thieves swiped the high value cars after breaking into the property at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, 21 March.

It is believed the White Rolls Royce and black Ferrari were then driven away from the home at around 8.45 pm.

Both cars were spotted on the M8 and the Ferrari was traced on Wednesday afternoon in the Edinburgh area.

Police are now appealing for information.

Detective Inspector Gary Cassidy from Helen Street Police Station said: "Our investigation into the break-in on Tuesday evening is continuing to establish more details on the circumstances and trace those involved.

“Two cars were stolen from the property, a white Rolls Royce Wraith and a black Ferrari Scaglietti.

“The Ferrari was traced on Wednesday afternoon in the Edinburgh area.

“We know that both cars were seen on the M8 from Glasgow heading to Edinburgh around 9 pm on Tuesday evening and I would urge anyone who saw either of these vehicles on Tuesday evening or since then to contact us.
