GLASWEGIANS have been invited to apply for a popular television programme.

The award-winning BBC One programme Repair Shop features a team of the country's most skilled craftspeople, who restore items that their owners fear may be beyond saving.

Ricochet Productions, who make the show, have urged Scots to come forward for the new season.

The team are keen to hear from anyone who has a beloved object in need of salvaging, with a particular focus on anyone looking to repair some bagpipes.

They said: "If you have a damaged heirloom, a prized antique, a loved one’s treasured possession or anything else that needs restoring, apply now by completing and submitting the following application form.

"We receive a great many applications, so please do help yours stand out by giving as much detail as possible about the item and what it means to you.

"If you are able to include a short video as part of your application, that will also help your item get noticed."

You can apply online by here or by emailing applications@ricochet.co.uk
